The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) demanded that the State government order a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities in DSC-2025, and stated that the party was ready for a similar probe into the Group-1 examinations conducted during its tenure.
Addressing the press at the Assembly media point on Monday (August 17, 2026), Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council and YSRCP leader Botcha Satyanarayana alleged that Education Minister Nara Lokesh had failed to provide clear answers to questions raised over the DSC recruitment process. “We are ready for a CBI inquiry into Group-I. Are you ready for a CBI inquiry into DSC?” he asked, challenging the government to accept an independent investigation into the alleged irregularities.
Mr. Satyanarayana alleged that rules were violated at several stages of the DSC-2025 recruitment process. He questioned the decision to entrust the responsibilities of SCERT. It is involved in preparing question papers, and the DSC Convener, who oversees the conduct of the examination, to the same individual. Such an arrangement, he said, raised questions over the transparency and independence of the recruitment process.
He additionally demanded that Mr. Lokesh take moral responsibility for the alleged irregularities and resign as Education Minister until completion of the CBI investigation.
