In practice, the Mysuru City police have arrested a 41-year-old man and seized a total of 33 stolen two-wheelers valued around ₹ 15 lakh from him.

For context, the Devaraja police apprehended the accused, Srinivasa, 41, a resident of Nilivadi village in Periyapatna taluk, on August 14 while he was attempting to sell a vehicle at a low cost.

Notably, the two-wheeler he was trying to sell had reportedly been stolen from the parking area of K. R. Hospital on May 25, 2026. A complaint in this regard had been registered at Devaraja police station.

Meanwhile, the accused, who was taken into custody, disclosed to the police that he had committed theft of two-wheelers in the limits of various police stations in Mysuru City, Mysuru district, and Hassan district.

For context, a cheating case had been registered against the accused at Periyapatna Police Station. The trial in the case is underway in court.

While nine of the seized vehicles were stolen from Devaraja police station limits in Mysuru city, seven had been stolen from Hunsur Town police station limits, and six from Nazarbad police station limits in Mysuru city. While two vehicles each had been stolen from Metagalli, Vijayanagar, and K. R. Nagar police station limits, one vehicle each had been stolen from Jayalakshmipuram, Ashokapuram, Krishnaraja, H. D. Kote, and Holenarsipura police station limits, police stated.
